History is Not a Clock (Please Rewind)

by Wolfgang Nibori
beaten by the moonshine, whipped in starlight style
orchid ever-opening, blooming attraction curses
expect funeralities of a wine bow-tie variety
chinking glasses, smiles loosening, now out of the cage
oh, whine the way you always do, keep us on our toes
fall back into habit patterns, crazy angles in a soul
wind so tightly, dance Lipnails, spin clouds to choke on
here party watching Jackals, eager scrounging carry-on
i, the diving plane maniac. i, who <3 the bombs
spread my talons engraving madness upon planet bleeding
gather round in sentinelity, please pretend to know my melody
witching caps socked rightly down, don’t ask after the broom
placed where you might expect, polite company neglects
ride the Titans to the mountain top, dance powder-deep in snow
celebrate in pastry, giggle while we can
gunfire changes everything, bow before the guillotine
confuse me not for revolution, i am a-political
change merely a curtain, sweeping wide magnetic pull
then the Ball took off and lead to a riot
As it usually does
