Eventually they became
Tuesday, June 17th, 2008Eventually they became
by Wolfgang Nibori
long ago in an unlit room, tv flickering
sitting spellbound, locked in fear
black and white yet crystal clear
crawling man, desperation, chilling to my core
unable to look away, kept pure then that day
not a first encounter, heard the Beast before
echoing from sunny car wash, distant furied pain
why so long this jouney? bells of hell unscrewed
toppling the clever tower now, all unglued, crashing down
simply one man crawling, crawling through my mind
imprisoned in some grey-shaded Hades, far beyond the veil
puppet king yanking strings, down your spine it grinds
chew ‘em up, spit ‘em out, garage keeps getting full
released into the brilliant day, dusty unrefined
turning traitor eyes to those who keep the royal line
blind, unforgiven of avenging, wrongs left undone
blind, unforgiven, unending, greed so bloats the soul
today the Sun shoots up again, fewer shadows seen
result of thankless pandering, green heart crawling
